Proportion
Proportion refers to the relationship of parts of a form to one another and of the parts to the whole.

In your sketchbook title a page "Proportion + Sighting"
Write a definition for proportion. Practice sketching the arrangement of forms using the sighting technique.

Your object of origin should be drawn on your sketchpage about the size of your fist.
Assignment Part B: Shade the forms. Refer back to your sketchbook notes to review what you did well yesterday with shading practice and a goal you set for yourself today.
Remember to:

____ Start loosely - hold pencil to side, move from shoulder
____ Gradually and smoothly vary the pressure on our pencil to create a range of values
____ Evenly shade the form with consistent strokes following the contour of the form
____ Capture the primary highlight (white of paper, midtones, core shadow, cast shadow and reflected light.
____ Include table or paper edge, surrounding space values, note that cast shadows have multiple values.
