This video presents the basic concepts of artwork you'll create in Illustrator. Discover the types of artwork it's best suited for.

As we watch the following video, label the location and description of each of the following:

Adobe Illustrator Practice Series

Make a folder inside your Art folder, title it: Adobe Illustrator

Inside Schoology under "Materials" - "Adobe Illustrator", Find a folder with the practice files Set 1 Illustrator Exercises. Download all the contents to your Art -Adobe Illustrator folder:

Open the SET 1-Illustrator Tutorials document.

Each tutorial is listed on the left and the video is hyperlinked. It is REQUIRED to have the video open on the same screen as your Illustrator app with the practice file for that tutorial. (Minimize sizes of the windows and organize your screen space.)

ASSIGNMENT: Complete SET 1 - the page with all 4 tutorials is due end of period Tues. 2/27.

Follow directions on the Illustrator Tutorials document for full credit. Note that you MUST change at least one aspect of the tutorial object you are taking a screen shot of - indicate it in one sentence along with a skill you learned.

3. Turn it in to the Schoology assignment drop box SET 1- Illustrator Tutorials when you are done.

Each tutorial is worth 5 points (3 points completed screenshot, 1 point indicate what you changed, 1 point describing a skill you learned). Set 1 = 20 points total.

Wednesday 2/28

ASSIGNMENT: Start Set 3 - the page with all tutorials is due end of period Wed. 2/28.

Thursday 2/29

ASSIGNMENT: Start Set 4- the page with all tutorials is due end of period Wed. 2/28.

Friday 3/1

*If you are done with Sets 1-4, go to the Home icon on Illustrator (top right). Click on Learn. Go to the horizontal band of tutorials across the top called Hands-on Tutorials. Scroll through and do tutorials with skills that you still feel uncertain about, or that interest you.

Get additional credit for the Hands-on Tutorials by adding a screen shot and writing about your learning in the Extra Set: Illustrator Tutorials page. In Art we do art, so extension tutorials are REQUIRED if you are done with tutorial sets 1-4. However, the Extra Set page is not required if you are still working on Sets 1-4.

There will a drop box for the Extra Set page on Tuesday 3/5.
